My mother signed up with Home Depot to have a new HVAC system installed in 2011. Home Depot uses Broadleys as their installation contractor. After 1 year unbeknownst to me, Broadleys came out to do a tuneup and had to add freon. If I knew about this I would have definitely had said something however I guess they just took advantage of an elderly women because if you have to add freon to a new system there is something wrong. Four years later the system does not blow cold air at all, I had met with a Broadley’s technician and he told me the leak was coming from a copper connection that they made when it was installed, he then proceeded to quote me $400 to fix the problem that should have never been there because of their crappy workmanship. I then reached out to my HVAC technician and he proceeded to tell me that there workmanship should have been a lot better than that because their systems out there that do not leak for several several years. Which by the way my system is 20 years old and I’ve never had to add freon to it at all. Way to stand by your workmanship Broadley’s I wouldn’t even allow you to put in a window unit, let alone refer you to anyone ever.
UPDATE….a few days later I had another HVAC Technician come out and find the leak at the valve outside. Not even close to where Broadley’s said it was…what a joke
