The toilet had 2 issues. One was too involved and not really necessary, the main problem was the tank filling slowly.
I have to make another appointment to have the valve replaced (which I asked for in the original appt video). … or I can go to the street, turn off the water and fix it myself.
Maybe I misunderstood, but that's what I was left with.
